Product description
🔬 Product Overview
α-PVP Alpha-PVP (Alpha-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone): a synthetic stimulant of the cathinone class, developed in the 1960s. It is chemically related to pyrovalerone and is the ketone analog of prolintane. It is NOT produced by fermentation of Bacillus subtilis; it is synthesized entirely through chemical processes.
This product is provided exclusively for research and technical use.
It is not intended for human or animal consumption under any circumstances.

📘 Informative Background
α-PVP is a potent norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI), similar to other NDRIs like methylphenidate, cocaine, and MDPV. Its IC₅₀ values have been found to be 14–70 nM for norepinephrine reuptake inhibition and 13–80 nM for dopamine reuptake inhibition. In contrast, it has negligible effects on serotonin reuptake.
The drug is significantly more potent than amphetamine as an NDRI in vitro, with 46-fold greater potency in dopamine reuptake inhibition and 7-fold greater potency in norepinephrine reuptake inhibition in HEK293 cells.
Due to its pyrrolidine ring, α-PVP is highly lipophilic, which markedly enhances its ability to permeate the blood-brain barrier compared to other cathinones.
⚠️ Health Risks & Adverse Effects
α-PVP carries serious health risks. Documented adverse effects include:
Psychosis-like states, agitation, aggression, and violence
Paranoia, hallucinations, mania-like symptoms
Tachycardia (increased heart rate) and hypertension (elevated blood pressure)
Insomnia, hyperstimulation
Nausea and vomiting
At higher doses: delirium, suicidal ideation, and death have been reported
α-PVP has been reported as the cause or a significant contributory cause of death in suicides and overdoses, including cases involving pulmonary edema and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease when combined with other drugs.
This compound is NOT safe for human consumption.
